Once upon a time lived a brave man who wanted to unite 2 worlds - virtual and real. He wanted to marry science and art. First he studied the laws of math and then he mastered the art of flight on rope and straps to become a unique expert. Johnny Arrow was his name.
As the boundary between virtual and real world becomes blurred, we ask ourselves what we will encounter in this artificial universe. Who is the new man of a virtual era?
We imagined 2 sides of this future - dark and light. One is bringing uncertainty, dangers and a fight for survival. Another is about curiosity, new adventures and seamless transformation between physical and digital.
Johnny is working on a personal project on combining physical and artificial worlds by his performance on a stage.
In his own words: “The physicality of the circus is the antipode of virtual reality. I am researching how these techniques can interact. As it is impossible to completely dissolve from the physical world, we find ourselves in a constant superposition of spaces. Part of which is physical, part virtual, part imaginary. To bundle my research focus, I specifically take interest in the 'transition' between these states and the physical media that embody these transitions.”
